הצמד בתחילתו יצר טראקים בסגנון טכנו אך שנתיים מאוחר יותר עברו לסגנון ההארדסטייל ותוך כמה שנים הפכו לאחד מהשמות הגדולים ביותר של הז'אנר.
החל מ-2012, שואוטק יוצרים מגוון רחב יותר של סגנונות, ביניהם אלקטרו-האוס ופרוגרסיב האוס.
ב-2012, שואוטק החלו בפרויקט Crazy Collabs שהוא פרויקט שיתופי פעולה עם אמנים שונים מסגנונות שונים של מוזיקת דאנס, ביניהם טייסטו, הארדוול, ג'סטין פריים, Bassjackers וצמד ההארדסטייל Noisecontrollers.
בנוסף להיותם יוצרים הם גם משמשים כמפיקי מוזיקה עבור אומנים שונים.
